I believe that as a scientist, I have a responsibility to be an advocate for science and education through both teaching and outreach activities. Sharing scientific knowledge with students and the public is incredibly important to me, as I believe it de-mystifies the process of doing science and serves as a reminder that it is fundamentally a human process of being curious, asking questions, and seeking answers.
